ready2hunt Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Went out with the family yesterday afternoon to help my cousins on their youth hunt, scout for my upcoming hunt and just spend some quality time with the family. It was an interesting trip having all the kids in the car with my wife and I while scouting but we were able to call in some elk. I tried to help my little cousin seal the deal (she doesn't have a father figure in her life) however they chose to go that evening with a friend of a friend who is a "guide." Is it just me or is the term "Guide" becoming a very loose term these days haha???? He seemed like a nice guy but I was a bit put off by his arrogant attitude. Sadly to say they did not see a single thing yesterday. Here are some picture of what we saw on our way out. The pictures aren't very good though. We saw a total of 7 cows and 1 bull and helped a father and son down a cow just before sun down (my wife has now caught the "elk huntin' bug!). The cow in the middle is the one they took....but my wife's camera battery died shortly thereafter so no more pics. It is soooo much fun sharing all this with the wife and kids!!!!
