barony2k6 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 I haven't hunted in 25 years. I've never hunted the Coues Whitetail only the eastern Whitetail from upstate New York. Any tips for hunting this elusive game as well as any info on Unit 31? We've been drawn for 10/27-11/2. We're going scouting next week. Thanks
azdave Report post Posted August 7, 2006 31 is a great, yet under-rated unit, in my opinion---which is good for people like me Get some good boots, good bino's and get in shape---rougher the terrain and farther off the roads, the better.

We went scouting this past weekend. Most of the 4 wheel drive access roads have been ripped apart from the amount of rain they've had. All of the washes are running fast with muddy water. We really will need a good pair of boots. 31 is a great, yet under-rated unit, in my opinion---which is good for people like me Get some good boots, good bino's and get in shape---rougher the terrain and farther off the roads, the better.
