Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Lightweight supplex nylon sometimes come in camo. Not the quietest for walking though. Caped vented-back like the tarpon fishing shirts. Just in a sage color may work instead of camo. I found a camo set at WalMart a few years ago. I also use lightweight camo thermax polypropelene undershirts. Something like this. http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pr...&hasJS=true
Ron G. Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Some of the nylon stuff is decent. The Whitewater superlight series is ok. Not too noisy and very lightweight. Shirt I have is vented and does a pretty good job of keeping you cooler. The nylon moves the sweat from you, but sometimes seems to stick to you also. Wouldn't hold up as well as a heavy duty cotton though... Here's a link to the Whitewater stuff... http://whitewateroutdoors.com/osc/product_...p;cPath=126_133
DesertBull Report post Posted July 27, 2006 What they need to do is make some of that Under Armour stuff in a western camo, like Outfitter, Praire Ghost, Predator, or ASAT.
Coues79 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 What they need to do is make some of that Under Armour stuff in a western camo, like Outfitter, Praire Ghost, Predator, or ASAT. That under armor stuff is legit. I used that back when I played baseball in Alabama. It dries really quick, and you don't get super hot in it. You can wear it in the winter too. It's called "COLD GEAR". I usually wear it under my camo in the winter for a little extra warmth. However, they do make "HOT GEAR" to be used in the summer. It's not western patterns, but I love the stuff.

coueshunter Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Desertbull: I found some poly/cotton blends in the cheaper camo at walmart that has worked well just because it breathes. It is like the liberty brand or something with the iguana on it, dark brown/rusty color blending in well with the dirt/rocks. I know what you are talking about, cotton adsorbs the water and doesnt wick away the moisture. I am pretty sure Under Armor now makes camo colors, just saw it out at Cabela's.........Allen.......... I believe you are talking about Natural Gear camo. Walmart has a number of garments in that pattern. Works great in desert type areas. Cabelas does have Under Armor in camo now, Realtree I believe. I've only used their Cold Gear and found it works pretty well.
DesertBull Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Yeah, UA only makes fat boy tree stand camo though. Realtree and Mossyoak, stick and leaves patterns. I want some ASAT or Predator! I have some Cabela's Microtex that is very good. I just wish they made t-shirts and henleys out of it though instead of the collared button up shirts. Why do I need a collar on a hunting shirt? And the button up sleeve cuffs are very annoying. I know, I am just being anal about it, but the stuff cost an arm and a leg, I want it the way I want it! DEERSLAM Report post Posted July 28, 2006 I have found UA in light brown and a sage type color. I wear them cause I won't buy those dark camos like realtree and mossyoak breakup, especially for $10 more for the camo. Cabelas Microtex is an awesome fabric that I have been very happy with and is very versatile. I wear the outfitter camo pattern.
