if you can get one tied up to a tree before the hunt he will usually be pretty close to that same tree when the hunt starts

The area i hunt is locked when its not season and its too hot for me personally to walk in the extra couple miles. I have hunted the same area for 5 years in a row, some times i see the same deer sometimes a new guy shows up. 4 of the last 5 seasons i filled my tag by day 3 and always could have on day 1. I do get out to shed hunt and locate deer year round just not where i hunt. I have been fortunate for sure, but i believe if you find a water source that is more than a mile from anything you are in a good spot.

I am guiding a buddy for his first deer hunt in Arizona. He has hunted back in New England states. I 've got a spot picked out for him. Hopefully he can make the 3 to 400 yrd shot he will see.

Lots of time glassing ... and glassing some more on scouting trips. sometimes i find big ones right away and sometimes i'll find one big one during the hunt.
