I would Highly suggest getting a pair of Brunton Eternia's. I currently have there 11x45 and will be getting there 15x56 soon. The 11x45 are 420 at sportsman's and the 15x56 are 500. I've been using mine for about a year now and I love them. I haven't seen any other glass in this price range that's compatable, atliest with my eyes. They are definately worth looking at. Good Luck.

Why not spend $150 more and get these

also for a little more money there are these

finally, Nikon just came out with a new pair of Monarchs. they are 12 X 56 and are available at less than $500. Over the last couple of years, Nikon's Monarch line has received a lot of respect for quality for value.

i would get Nikon monarchs 10x42.....thats what im getting for like 245....cant go wrong with those...they are the best for my price range....and a very good bino...plus they come with a lifetime warranty...so if you somehow just dont take care of them and they break in half....you can get a brand new pair...i think for like $10...but the clarity is very good...and they are very light

I've looked through the monarchs as well. For my eyes, they were really nice. But it's all about your own eyes. There are a lot of glasses that I can't look through. They hurt my eyes pretty bad. I would shop around a little bit. Hit Cabela's or Sportsman's and look through all the glasses that you want to for your price range. Price them there, and then see if you can get better deals elsewhere. Personally, I feel you have to just find a pair you're comfortable with. There are a lot of good glasses out there nowadays.

I've been checking these binos on the web, almost bought the bruntons 11x51 $499.00 w/ free shipping, but figure it would be worth a trip to cabelas or sportmans to check them out ,the nikon monarchs 12x56 look like good glass for the money($429.00). :P

For 500.00 or less, the fujinons are your best option getting 5x more so you can glass longer distances. Also I just left the new Cabelas out in Glendale and they have some Kahles 10x42 in the bargain cave for 500.00 that would be a great pair of bino's depending on the power you want. Kahles is a Swarovski company............Allen.........

Get the Sworskies 15 x 56's, then call AZGF and tell them they charged your card wrong. With all the screwups you might get away with it

I too am looking for new binoculars but don't want to spend a ton of money. After reading the suggestions here I went to Sportsman's warehouse and checked out the Nikon Monarchs and was very impressed. I will be purchasing a pair of the 12x56's here in a few weeks, they run between $400-500 depending on where you get them. Thanks for the good ideas.

I checked the sportsman in Tucson Thurs. night they didn't have the monarch 12x56(poor selection of binos there), guy didn't even know they made a 12x56, what sportman did you find them. <_<
