4Falls Report post Posted October 1, 2012 With all the recent travel restrictions on OUR national forests its occured to me that a game cart of some sort will be beneficial to my up coming late archery hunt. Does anyone have any experience with these? any they would recommend?
TOBY Report post Posted October 1, 2012 if the terrain is good then they are great. We wheeled my wifes 3/4 of a mile last year on a custom cart. Cabelas just had a simple one for 40 bucks last week. Going to try it out this month.

6ANut Report post Posted October 1, 2012 I bought a cart from Cabelas and destroyed it getting one elk out of the field. The tires that it comes with are not very good for anything other than a flat surface, we ended up knocking the rubber off the tire wheel. We had to have two people in the front pull the cart while one person in the back lifted it over any larger rocks, back breaking work to say the least. I bought another cart from Cabelas and took it to our welding shop added handles on both sides of the cart, bought some 80 dollar wheels and a new axle, and added length onto the cart itself. I will take a picture and upload it when I get home. I would not take a stock cart out in the woods to go get my elk ever again more of a hassel than a help. Now for deer you might not have to BEEF up your cart as much.
4Falls Report post Posted October 1, 2012 Thanks for the good advice. Ive been looking at them online and they all seem a little too light duty for Arizona.
bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted October 1, 2012 I bought a plastic snow sled from Wal-Mart. I put my last deer and another guy's deer back in August on it and pulled them right out. I drilled extra holes in the sides so I could tie the deer down so it would not fall off. Total cost to me was $15... Plus when my girls are old enough we will be taking it up North when the snow falls
azgutpile Report post Posted October 1, 2012 I've heard of people using the "skedsled" or "Med Sleds" with good success.
