AZHUNTER05 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 It was recently changed to no limit I believe. With the exception of migratory bird hunting. I thought the same thing and this came up in the regs. book. Under R 12-4-303 Unlawful devices methods ammunition 4. Semiautomatic centerfire rifles with a magazine capacity of more than five cartridges, unless the magazine is modified with a filler or stop that cannot be removed without disassembling the magazine; 5. Contrivances designed to silence, muffle, or minimize the report of a firearm; James why is this still listed in the amended book on line?????????????? James Because it's government operations and they most likely haven't updated it yet. If you are so positive that there is a limit, why don't you just call game and fish so they can tell you there is no limit? I'm not positive never said I was! I just stated it was and the amended book and questioned why they wouldn't fix it when they amended it for small game! That's why I questioned it! There is and amended reg. book on line and it is still in there! A simple " they haven't updated the book for this" would have been ok not a pissing match! James Haha wow calm down man. I didn't mean to start a pissing match. All i'm saying is that you should call g&f and hear it straight from the horses mouth. That's what i did because i didn't want to get in trouble for carrying a high capacity magazine in my rifle.

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted September 27, 2012 I know a guy who lost his license for 5 years based on hearing it "straight from the horses mouth" If it is written in the current law book, that is what the law is, not what someone may or may have not told you, no matter their rank or position. Scooter Report post Posted September 27, 2012 The regulation books (even some of the updated ones) were printed/posted before the August 1st implementation of the passed bill. The august regs were printed but the exceprts from the revised statutes in the back end were unfortunatley not part of the update on the last version... As for my opinion- I'm pretty much a Liberty first kind of guy so hunt with whatever you want. If the stupid deer stands there for 30 rounds from one magazine, it woulda stood there for a few 5 rd mags too. I've never had a situation requiring more than three rounds! I think the rule change in part was concerns for hunting down south. James
