2 vehicles for sale to hunters

Although I am not a huntress of animals, I have enjoyed cooking and eating them while hunting artifacts as an archaeologist for many years. I have a non-running 1985 full-size Ford Bronco XLT 4X4 with custom roof rack that needs some work (new carburator and battery, new tires - no air) that would make a great hunting vehicle with some work - used by me for archaeology and by husband and son for hunting - $1000 to good home. Has 252,000 miles, with rebuilt engine installed at 200,000 miles.

 

Also have 1978 Ford F350 Supercab pickup with overcab camper shell - almost runs (cranks but doesn't engage) - single owner, 123,249 miles, new battery, needs heater core; camper shell has queen bed over cab, storage benches along sides, and walk space in middle. Great for work or hunting - will sell to avid hunter(s) for $7999 - could haul a passle of deer for a group!

When I have time, watch for a great South African recipe for Sosaties from an archaeologist friend of mine named Helgaard Prinsloo - we tried it out on African Kudu one night in the middle of the lowveldt and it is unbelievable! Takes three days to marinate but well worth the wait (we had to keep the baboons away, but you can do this in your fridge or ice chest!) - also have a great Mu Shu recipe for just about anything!

Does the F350 have a 390 or 460? Assuming it is gas and not diesel. Looking forward those recipes (and maybe a few archelogical stories).

Hi - It is a 460 gas engine - let me know if you would like to see it.... Will try to post recipes soon - have to find that cookbook first - it's in storage....recipe includes marinade with onion, bacon, vinegar, curry spices and a few other ingredients - you let it sit for three days and then grill - serve with basmati rice.....I worked in Africa for 6 months doing Iron Age archaeology in the Krueger Game Preserve on a Naitonal Science Foundation grant years ago and we had a 12 students from Pretoria University do a 6 week fieldschool with us - my friend with this recipe was part of that group, and we tried it out on a haunch of kudu - cooked over an open fire and it was great!

Hi - Not sure what else to add - please let me know what you would like to hear more about - truck has been used for field archaeology (been on some great adventures!) and hunting since we bought it - rebuilt engine installed at 200,000 miles is a 5.8 liter 350 gas-powered engine and has run fine since. Truck has a rear hitch, will need new battery, new tires, probably either carburator flush or new carburator; back window motor has been testy at times, and replaced once. No air - condenser not replaced because being in and out of truck meant little time in air conditioning anyway. And hunting season is cool enough....If you would like to see it, let me know and we can set a time - I'm in Ahwatukee area.
