muleskinner Report post Posted November 25, 2012 Sun Devils made the plays when they had to. Congrats to them. Give Rich Rod time to get his own personnel on both sides of the ball and I think the Wildcats will make life hard on the ASU faithful. Nobody really expected the cats to be as competitive as they were this year. The defense seemed to be hanging by a thread most of the time. The coaching staff did a remarkable job with some very average talent on both sides of the ball, with the exception of Carey and Scott. Here are a couple of observations: 1) those red uniforms the kitties were sporting were terrible. 2) already heard one "wait 'til next year" 3) already heard one "wait 'til RichRod gets his recruits in place" (FYI - RichRod was lucky to have Scott and Carey fall into his lap. Without them the kitties would have been lucky to win 2 games this year) 4) heard lots of blame towards Scott. muleskinner Report post Posted November 26, 2012 ASU has made 2 Rose Bowl appearances, the latest being 15 years ago. Surely ASU fans can come up with something more relevant to brag about. Like maybe a recent championship in baseball...no, wait, that was the UofA! Or maybe a legitimate run in March Madness? Don't guess you have that either. Bragging about something that last happened 15 years ago is like saying, "because I can jump higher than you can, I can get closer to the moon than you can." It really don't matter much! The truth is that even with ASU's well deserved win over the cats, neither football team has a whole lot to brag about, other than exceeding expectations. I hope Rich Rod stays long enough to build a winning tradition...then we will have some bragging rights in football to go along with baseball and basketball! Both with new coaches and both needing time to put there own guys in place. Remember Mackovic beat Koetter in there first debut together and we know who paned out to be better. Stoops also won in his first year with a horrible UA(3 wins) squad against Andrew Walter's highly touted team.
