JMP Report post Posted September 11, 2012 Both good bows. The Monster is a tank. It's very heavy. The Z7 is great. Slower though, but lighter. I just traded my Z7 for the Z7 Extreme. I didn't care much for the HELIm. Shoot them both. Then decide. The BowTech Insanity is an awesome bow too, if you're open to shooting a BowTech. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

rageinthesage Report post Posted October 22, 2012 It's like comparing apples to oranges...exact opposites. I have an XLR8 and love it. Z7 is smooth drawing and forgiving with just enough speed to get the job done, and the XLR8 is not forgiving at all with a ton of speed along with the kinetic enery, definetly not a good starter bow.
