UNbelievable....no one has a dang clue. I think the game and fish are trying to distract people from checking credit card charges because they have no control over it, so they giving any story they can think of. i think we should just start printing our own tags......LOL What a joke!!!! daverp Report post Posted July 24, 2006 I can sympathize with her, it's got to be a mad house manning the phones right now, but they should keep in mind it's not the hunters who have turned this into a real goat screw....that was the joint effort of the outfit in Tennesse and the AZ G&F department. You tell everyone that the results will be out "August 1st" every year on your web site, but everyone knows they typically come out two weeks before that. That's compounded by employees giving every date from "results are already out" to "the results will be out opening morning" for christ sake. Also compounded by people's cards being hit almost a week in advance of the draw. Instead of trying to save face, how hard would it be to post daily updates on the main page at the web site? Everyone knows it was screwed up this year, now just admit it instead of trying to act like everything is fine ("It's not August 1st yet, we're still ahead of schedule" ) and let's move on! At least this shouldn't happen next year with the early draw for Elk and Antelope. What would be nice is if the results could post as they happen. That would let everyone know as soon as possible, without all the speculation. Probably not possible to do it that way though... At this rate, this whole debacle has really diminished the excitement of (hopefully) drawing a tag. I'm headed out Thursday for 10 days in AZ. The results of the draw will dictate what I do and where I'm going. With any luck, there will be out sometime before then, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think anyone would begrudge AZGFD if their sub-contractor screwed things up, but the passage of info has been ludicrous. Now, the draw results will be suspect, regardless of what happens.... I know that you guys think that the draw results will be posted on 08.01...I hope that this is totally not true. The AZDGF website says "No later that the 28th." NOT 08.01!!! How on earth could YOU guys have screwed this up SO bad this year. History shows that we have ALWAYS had the results at least 2 weeks before the posted dates. Until your company took it over. I am sure that you have heard that your company will not be given a contract next year. What is the problem??? Tell me how SCI-NEVADA can get it right but your company cant? CAN YOU NOT JUST BE HONEST WITH PEOPLE and tell us for sure as to what date the draw results will be posted. Or you can tell us that you dont have a clue. Whatever it is just be honest. It seems like no matter what contractor AZ uses something is screwed up. Sci-Nevada screwed up last year and gave out to many tags if you remember...I think AZ needs to shoulder some of the blame Michael. Maybe I'm off base here but the real issue seems to be timing of the draw. Most hunters know what they want to hunt by February...have to wait until almost June to get Brochures/Reg's... then find out right be fore season starts!
