reganranch Report post Posted September 6, 2012 As someone who has looked a little too brown and a little too dirty returning from a coues deer hunt of all things, and was stopped and harassed by a highway patrol officer, I can tell you this BS, IS about profiling. That trooper should be glad he realized the error of his ways and let me go on my way because I would have introduced him to my .45 before I showed him any "residency papers." By the way, I think most of us would have a hard time producing residency papers or proof of citizenship when pulled over for speeding. (A driver's license does not qualify Non-Typical Solutions.) It amazes me how so many members on this site scream and yell about "Government" taking our rights away every dang day, but start spouting off how they like this infringement on our rights simply because they don't think it will apply to them because of their skin color, or because they were born here. Maybe you would feel differently if "Government" decided to crack down on Anglos on the basis that they may be illegals from Canada or Europe or wherever. I guess the Anglos in AZ can rest easy as long as we have the Mormon majority running our state government. With that, I am done with this topic and the forum. Lee Molina Thats every liberals first line of their argument is the pulling race card.
azshtr Report post Posted September 6, 2012 Try being illegal in the country south of us. That won't end well. We could mirror the laws of where ever the illegal person is from, (Short of death of course), the illegal should know those laws. The USA is very lenient compared to most other countries. Heaven forbid you get asked to show papers or questioned about your legal status here in the USA. I was in Germany all of 30 minutes before I was asked to see papers.... this was after customs and as I was waiting for luggage. I didn't mind, they have a right to know who is in the country. The same should apply here.

Hunterjohnny Report post Posted September 6, 2012 I agree with all the responses, but you are all avoiding the real question. Why is there only one white crayon in the box! Racists!
Chef Report post Posted September 6, 2012 Gentlemen, I just spent more time than I would like, editing numerous posts on this thread. Taking out swearing and direct name calling. From both sides of the issue. I read the entire thread and can see that most of you are good at discussing the topic without getting out of hand. Thank You in advance for keeping this thread clean from here on out.
Ernesto C Report post Posted September 6, 2012 Here we go again!! Thank God for me nothing changes. I will keep getting stopped by the border patrol just because the way I look but the way I look is better for when you are hunting ...you dont get to much sun burn . I can tell you a thousand stories....but please just let me tell you one.... I was driving in one ocassion with one fellow coueswhitetail member who happens to be blond. We get stopped by the border patrol and the border patrol asked us if we both were U.S. Citizens. we said yes. The B.P. agent asked me to prove I was a U. S. Citizen which I proceeded to do with my U.S. Passport. He then let us continue with our trip. My fellow cwt. member was pisst off because of what he just withnessed and cause he was never ask for any papers or proof that he was a U. S. Citizen! And I told hum, hey...forget about it....I'm used to it by now...you are lucky I did not told him that you kidnapped me at the border to work at your farm! Haha LOL Again, nothing changes for me and .....God bless America my friends. Ernesto C

billrquimby Report post Posted September 6, 2012 Although neither my wife nor I have hispanic or Asian features, we have been asked about our citizenship at the Border Patrol station on the Nogales highway every time we've driven to and from checking property we own above the Kino Springs golf course. We also are asked to provide identification if we are stopped for a traffic violation, want to cash a check or make a withdrawal, board a commercial flight, or do a dozen other things. With the recent approval of this provision of 1070, we can expect everyone will be asked about his or her citizenship status in all dealings with law enforcement officials. It is the only way they can avoid being accused of racial profiling. That should bother no one. For proof of citizenship, carry your voter's registration card and your driver's license. So far as I know, Arizona is not issuing either card to illegal aliens. Bill Quimby

deercrazy Report post Posted September 6, 2012 Has racial profiling not been going on since the beginning of time? Think of all the terrible things that have happened to mankind in the name of racial profiling. Do I agree with it? NO, but I also believe that profiling has been a tool by law enforcement, world leaders, and yes, even our government for years. If you have flown on a plane lately, you will see that people born before 1930, I believe, do not have to take off their coat or shoes when going through security. I guess someone just figured that old people are not up to the kind of no good that a younger person can be involved in. I guess what I am trying to say is that if you live your lives by the rules and regulations, there is not so much to fear if you are stopped by the law enforcement. Snapshot Report post Posted September 7, 2012 The liberal flavor these days, seems to be using the racist, and racial profiling card. They use it any chance they get. I don't care what race or color you are. If you are here illegally, you are wasting our tax dollars by the billions, sucking off of our economy and government support. I want you caught, and thrown out of the country. I am currently working on a project where the mexicans outnumber us whiteboys by about 12:1. Alot of these guys are questionable. Many have an EXTREME attitrude towards us white guys. There are days when I would like to punch some of them right between the eyes, becuase they call us names behind our backs. Say it to my face or shut your mouth, or I'll be glad to shut it for you. Don't come to this country, and rape our economy, take our jobs, and have an attitude about it. I am sick and tired of it.

Ernesto C Report post Posted September 7, 2012 Asking for citizenship is one thing......but asking to prove (show documentes) is totally different. Ernesto C Ernesto, please explain this comment Yes for example. The story I posted above...The B.P agent asked my friend if he was a U.S. Citizen, he said yes. Then he asked me if I was a U.S. Citizen and I said yes Sir I am. Till here there is nothing wrong..but then he asked me, and only me, to prove to him that I was a U. S. Citizen which I had to show him my U. S. Passport. So, why he only asked me for documents and not my friend? It was cause my friend is blonde and blue eyes? Why he treated me different than him? That's why I said....asking for citizenship is one thing and asking to prove or show documents is different. At the port of entrys....not everybody is asked to prove that they are U. S. Citizens only some, why? They ask some if they are U. S. citizens but they dont have to prove it....why? Why when I drive the Sasabe road and if a B. P. sees me they follow me and stop me? Now please dont get me wrong....I'm not against getting all the illegals out of the U.S. Also it does not botther me anymore when Border Patrol or U.S. Customs give me a hard time at the border or in the check points. Their are doing their jobs and I understand that and I know the answers to the questios I have asked; and to some of them.....I am more american than them! If we do not want Illegals here in AZ.....why we keep hiring them? Come with me and I will take you to some companies that I know here right in our faces....you will not eat any more fruits and vegetables my friend.......fields will go to waste.....and nobody will pick up cantaloupes for $7.75 dollars and hour and work for 12 to 14 hours a day with no overtime pay . You'll see this people working in Chemical plants with no safety equipment or any protection at all and with no training .................well I'm getting off the subject here but I hope I answered your questions Remember....hate the game not the player...I did not let them in God bless. Ernesto C American business is just as much to blame for exploiting illegal labor, it drives down fair wages. I don't blame or hate anyone for wanting to come to America for a better life, I just don't like some of the things that they bring along. Rules and procedure need to be followed.
