Any of you catch any of the DNC speeches??

One thing that they kept pounding was how sharing the wealth was "patriotic"?

What I want to know is what is patriotic about being a lazy arse and living off government welfare programs?

Quote from Booker who earlier slammed the president by speaking out in favor of free enterprise and then had to walk it back the next day.

Raising taxes on the rich is not class action warfare, it's patriotic.................

I ain't rich, but that is not what I call patriotic............sorry..................

I may not have much but I have worked for every penny I have. I beleive that it is my christian duty to share and help those who are less fortunate but not support a culture of free loading & laziness. Those speeches were killing me.

I just shared the wealth and celebrated the DNC by renewing my NRA membership! :D

And a BIG +1 to ready2hunt...I too believe it's my Christian duty to share and help those less fortunate (and to pay taxes) but I also believe the sharing and helping others should be on my own terms through my local church or whatever organization who is truly determining the level of need and appropriately rendering aid.

Just my 2 cents...keep the change.

I know a gal, she has not had a job for the last 20 years, been living off of government programs. Her gravy train broke down a few months back and she has now had to go get a job.

Her latest post on Facebook..............This working stuff is for the birds.....it really sucks...........

No kidding......duh........makes me sick...........

Exactly!

My experience is that liberals are usually those that think "someone should do something about the needy" unfortunately it is not them it is someone else like the gov. They could get rid of that guilt real quick by just helping someone out or picking a charity to support but they think that is for rich people.

It's part of Obama's plan to keep people in poverty and lower the middle class. It keep people more dependent on the government and the government keeps more control over us. I am disgusted by the Government.

I am very biased about certain things. When my world crashed down around me, I received no help from anyone, not even my family, I did not ask for help from anybody. Everyone has to fend for themselves as best we can. Handouts create an entitlement attitude. KInd of like feeding wild animals. They always come back for more.

Id have no problem helping those on welfare and other tax payer funded programs if they had to pass drug tests to be GIVEN their check like i have to pass to EARN mine.

It is supposed to be a safety net for those that need hand, not a career. We have to quit paying people to NOT work.

Forest Service pleads that people not feed wildlife. "If fed, animals will become dependent and incapable of fending for themselves." Forest Service understands the consequences of "free hand-outs." Why can't the Democratic party?

How about Clinton's " We're the party of we're all in this together, share the wealth and responsibility." Isn't that the actual communist manifesto?
