Dove hunting--Salt River area, Mesa

Anybody dove hunt near the Salt River in NE Mesa? I need a place to take the kids (5 and 4) to get their first dove hunt. Live near BassPro and need a place close enough to keep the kids excited, and Florence or Buckeye are just too far. Any hints? Not looking for the greatest secret spots anywhere, just hoping for a place to take the kids close by and pick up a few birds now and then. THANKS!!!!!!

If you are still looking pm me. Our "spot" wasnt as good as I thought it should be this year but not bad and few people. I am planning a Saturday morning hunt there again.

Tried a popular area, and no birds flying. Kicked up about 15 birds roosting in dead trees, but the heat became too much for me. Out by 11:30.
