mmlj Report post Posted August 30, 2012 I would appreciate anyone discussing their experiences with the Barnes TSX, 130gr. 30 caliber bullet for Coues deer or other game. I am considering using this bullet in the 300WSM. Thanks.
couespatrol Report post Posted August 30, 2012 I have used the TSX in the .270 bullet for elk, mule deer and whitetail for the past three years and noting else. A 465 and a 373 yd shot on two bull elk. Both shots dropped the bulls in there tracks. A 200 yd shot on a muley that dropped right were he stood and a 501 yd shot made by my son made on a whitetail buck never knew what hit him. My Father also used the .270 caliber for his bull elk at 395 and dropped him in his tracks. As you can see same results for all these animals at differrent yardage. The Bullet retains alot of it's energy and has never failed me. I was and avid .7mm user until I used the TSX in the .270 130 grain bullet and will porbably never use another bullet or caliber. I am very satisfied in the TSX and can't imagine how it will perform in the 300WSM. Hope this helps!
