oz31p Report post Posted August 23, 2012 My area had been getting alot of rain the week. I cannt help but wonder how much it going to afect critters moving to my tank. Any one have experience with wet openers?
reganranch Report post Posted August 23, 2012 Hey Oz31p it's definetly something that is on my mind also. The data on my trailcam showed that the deer would still walk down the wash the aquifer was in, but they wouldn't water there somewhere lower down the mountain. Washes are like highways for game so if your spot is something like this it may not affect it as much.

Scooter Report post Posted August 23, 2012 I dunno guys- being someone who was not able to do a whole lot of pre-season scouting, I'm going to appreciate the easy identification of popular travel routes (both 2-legged and 4-legged). What I won't appreciate is the biting insects. We have lots of water down here too- but I like it, the grass is up tall and it should make stalks easier than trying to close the distance through a huge burn (Last Year). I'm actually pretty pumped up about it. Gonna take a walkabout this weekend to see where they're at then maybe pinpoint a spot to sit next weekend.
abovethecoues Report post Posted August 23, 2012 Yep plan b is in the works for me. Barrowing some better glass.

naturegirl Report post Posted August 23, 2012 tons of water in 6a. so much green feed everywhere. I love the water as far as making your walking so much quieter. I don't usually sit water but if I did I'd definitely be working on plan B

bigorange Report post Posted August 23, 2012 Has anyone been up in 27 lately? Much water? See any turkey or deer? Was in 27 this weekend. Lots of rain, but a lot of the tanks seemed low. Saw 5 or 6 bucks and at least 10 turkeys.
