Im thinkin i need somebody who works on their own bows not a shop that has no time to do it right... i have a Athens Ibex bow i bought used and i know it is a excellent bow but i have no Valley.. it should have a nice valley.. so if someone experienced could help me out i have all kinds of info on these cams but need someone willing to take some time and do it the way athens cams need to be done.. i can read as you go for tutorial whatever it takes and if i need another set of cables and strings i will get it once you have determined they are incorrect.. i think this case is just not getting the attention it needs by techs who are busy.. i will pay if thats what it takes..

thx and God Bless, Mike 602-499-4136 im in North Phoenix area

I dont have a press or draw board but maybe I can help out. I believe The Athens bows have an adjustable draw stop and an adjustable let-off? I shoot a Strother Rush and it has a similar cam First things first what is your Let-off set at (70%,80%)? If it is at a low setting (70% or 75%) Try and change it to the highest setting which is 80% this should help. Now when the Let-off is changed on my bow I also have to adjust the draw stops this is not very hard it is easier with a draw board but is definitely doable without one! My Rush was set at 70% let-off and was very smooth all the way back but it felt like you were holding a lot of weight and it kind of wanted to take off on you. When I switched the setting to 80% it had a great valley and felt like I was holding a kids bow back! :P Anyways I know it sounds simple but I hope this helps. If I was in the area I would help you out but I live in Tucson. Good Luck!

let off is in draw stop.. i believe my issue is all in the cables and string. i bought used and possibly this guy put wrong goodies on.. i need someone who can press parralel limbs 30 ata we could pull strings and cables and measure to start.. going to friends today to see if his rig will work.. pretty simple cams if you dont buy form someone who was experimenting.. :o sold my recluse to order HGO R-120 which is Christian themed bow of Recluse so instead of spider webs it has cross's in riser. and also I'm now Athens field staff! but gotta get this little bow up and running for season..

The Recluse is absolutely amazing!!! Better than any bow i have ever shot, it is actually a pleasure to shoot. im sure the Ibex will be the same way but buying used i got my self into some sorting the problem out kinda issue...

have a R-120 on the way=same bow as recluse

have used exceed on the way also so i assume it will need a little tuning also

everything... bought used and guys probably swapped cams and shipped?? just way out of timing.. i have never worked on a bow before like this in press and such but friend walked me through it and we got it spot on i would say.. cable twists and little draw sto adjustment and it is absolutely silent and punches paper clean as can be!!!!! it does not have the same amount of let-off as the Recluse does but it is a different cam.. this is the EV2X Athens cam and the Recluse uses EV2S.. im trying to get one of each of these babys so i can give everyone interested a idea of what Athens is all about.. just let me know if you ever wanna check 1 out.. i have Exceed on its way to me 37"ata uses ev2s cam, i really want a Affliction 35"ata uses ev2x cam.. i just need massive amount of valley like right up to the not safe might de-rail amount..im a big guy but have very bad arthritis and many surgeries so i have found smooth draw cycle and big valley also rock solid wall to be imperative for me as an archer to have in a bow.. you can tune them for less valley if shooting back tension etc. im expecting this exceed to arrive with no valley also due to prior owners competitive shooting
