Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 20, 2006 Jamaro/Jason, Is this the thread on Archerytalk.com that you mentioned? Sounds like the new door is nice and I like the new predator camo. I'll give him a call. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.p...ght=double+bull Doug~RR

Ron G. Report post Posted July 20, 2006 I think I finally saved enough of my pennies to get one. Might get one at the Cabela's members only day on the 26th... In regards to the heat, I've heard that packing along some ziplock bags with ice in them and then placing those on your head under your hat works well at helping to keep you cool. Same idea of the wet washcloths mentioned above. I tried it last weekend while mowing the yard and it worked well. Especially with the cool water running down my back... azhuntnut Report post Posted July 21, 2006 How about one of those portable misters from Wally world. That should help cool the area down a bit. David
ultramag Report post Posted July 21, 2006 i dont know..........a lot of cash.......... a lot of heat.........mybe next year. how about tree stands. which do you prefer climbing or the mount to the tree style?
Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 21, 2006 Add a little deer-in-heat, or cow-in-estrus urine to that portable mister system. Keep cool and attract bucks and bulls at the same time I kinda prefer a ladder stand. Safer and easier to get up and down. RR
TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted July 21, 2006 Climbers are nice but are not always compatible w/ the tree you are wanting to use. For a climber the tree must be a completely verticle and a lot of branch cutting may be required. I prefer hang-on stands. I've tried quite a few different treestands and so far, this is my favorite for the $$. I spent a good 7 days this past January from sunup till sundown in this stand and it is quite comforatable. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...g&noImage=0 I usually use treesteps. TAM Report post Posted July 21, 2006 Red Rabit, don't forget to pour some of that doe in heat or cow in estrus urine into your water bottle. It really helps to cover all the scent you breathe out. I personally like the urine they sell in little spray bottles that you can just spray directly into your mouth. Nothing will scare a big buck away quicker than burping up the half digested stench of last night's taco bell.
