azgutpile Report post Posted August 12, 2012 I had a discussion with a friend of mine the other day about the sharpness of new broadhead blades. I'm of the oppinion that you are not doing yourself any good by touching up a new broadhead blade. Yes you can make it sharper to cut hair or what not, but with that steeper angle will be weeker and not hold the edge nearly as long. He is of the oppinion that the sharper it is, the better it will be...Period. Thoughts?
azslim Report post Posted August 13, 2012 I practice with and resharpen all the heads I hunt with, who cares about the edge angle, only has to cut once on it's way through
runningbird Report post Posted August 13, 2012 I would not take sharpness for granted..I have gotten many new broadheads that were not as sharp as I like.
