Leica Geovid HD 10x42

Recommended Posts

I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on some of these Leica Geovid's. Anybody out there using them that has any positive/negative comments?

Or does anyone prefer the Swaro or Zeiss Bino/RF counterparts?

I would appreciate any input.....I know this is a hashed out topic but I am about to spend big $$ here.....

Splitting hairs when it comes down to these three brands. Just comes down to what your eye likes. If you will be spending that kind of money I would make sure you test each one. Not sure where you are at but if you have a chance head over to the outdoorsmans in Phoenix and they will set each of them up on tripods for you to look at.

I love my Geovids, I have been using them for awhile, on archey hunts rifle hunts and helping others on their hunts. I have no complainants and the glass is clear and laser works great, up to long long distances. When I purchased them I was kind of worried about the 5 year warranty due to the electronic portion of the optics. After last year hunt and my left diopt was not working properly. I sent them back and Leica fixed them, and cleaned everything up. Even being past the 5 year warranty they did everything for free. All I paid was shipping to them. I have not used or looked through the swaro's or zeiss laser binos, but I am very satisfied w/ my geovids and the customer service of Leica. Nothing beats having a range finder in your binos,

If you dont plan to use anything bigger then 10x42s, get them!

I love mine, but I did recently add some 15 swaros to the backpack...

I love my el range. It has the angle componsation on it, and its not just giving you a horizontal distance its giving you a true ballistic range.
