Recommended Bullet for a Limited COAL

In an earlier post I mentioned that I am having some grouping difficulties using 140 gn Berger VLDs out of my 7mm-08. Unfortunately my COAL is limited by my magazine which several have suggested might be my problem with these bullets. Some have suggested I try Barnes TTSX others Nosler. Has anyone found a bullet they strongly recommend when face with a limited COAL?

Interesting. I'm not familiar with these silver tips. Do the shoot like the BTs?

Yes !! My 7mm shoots 140bt and brothers shoots 140 ct and they both shoot great! I know he took a wt at 690yrds with those CTs and it knocked the crap out of that deer!

Silvertips are great rounds winchester uses them in their second top of the line ammo.

The ttsx shoots will with a big jump to the lands

Maybe it is possible to modify the magazine or buy a replacement that allows longer COAL?

Have you thought about seating them to whatever COAL that you want and then single loading them and shooting some groups?
