Gr8 White Jr Report post Posted August 2, 2012 Do any of you have any recommendations for a good flashlight to carry in my pack while hunting for under $100? Brightness, battery life and weight are of high importance. Thanks for your input! -Tracy
Antmo23 Report post Posted August 2, 2012 I got a pretty good one for free from the north American hunting club. I thought it was a junker and gave it to my son to play with. After I got my sight back from him blinding me, I hid it in my hunting pack, lol.
huntjunkie Report post Posted August 2, 2012 I have last years model but it's the best flashlight Ive owned. Ridiculously bright(115 lumens) small, lasts for ever, and only 3AAA's It's nice because my headlamp uses AAA's so only need to carry AAA's. http://mobile.walmart.com/m/phoenix#ip/Coleman-2000004486-Coleman-Max-3AAA-LED-RWB-Flashlight/13029917 They also sale a silver one for $20 that's the one I have. Coach Report post Posted August 2, 2012 I've got a Cabela's XPG flashlight that I have taken on every hunt I've been on for, wow, longer than I care to admit. I don't know if they even still sell them, but that has been as much an essential part of my pack as lighters and a space blanket since they came out. Mine is rechargeable, around 130 lumens and is as strong now as it was when I bought it 10 years ago.

azshtr Report post Posted August 27, 2012 Black Diamond headlamps. I like the brightness when cranked up, but the dim feature is great when you have good night vision going and don't want to kill it. Also has red led, spot and flood settings. That packs a lot in a little unit. I have 2 and thats all I take when I leave the truck.
