I was at the meeting last night and it was explained like codyhuntsaz said, but that wasn't a sure thing that was what they were told so who knows. They probably do run a few test runs and when the people present at the initial results all get drawn they say its good and run the rest of the apps. . Good Luck to all.

Not Me!!!!

Oh wait he said guess who got a sheep tag. Not who did not get a sheep tag.

My other guess would be the guy that won it in the super raffle.

I have a good friend in Boise, Idaho (a fireman, actually) who drew a bighorn sheep tag in ID this year on his first year of applying. He's up in the Frank Church wilderness scouting right now.

Beginners luck can happen to any of us with a few, if any, bogus points. I remember the hoopla of it happenining to Gov Jane Hull's son.

I keep asking myself why the heck I'm so anxious to find out?! I know I'm going to draw 35B early WT and nothing else, so I'm just going to expect that and nothing else. All this dreaming and the "what if's" that run through my head are just setting me up for the inevitable let down! SO....... YEEEHAAWWW I drew 35B early WT...........yippee. I keep hearing from guys that "should" know that believe the results will be out BY Friday, but it's still all rumors! I at least got my 35B early tag! :P JIM>

Does anybody know when the next wildlife news update is on the azgfd website? It's about time they let us know what part of the process there in now.

All I know is as a long time resident but current non-resident, I start out the application process in May just sure I won't be drawn for anything and keep my expectations realistic, but by the time the 2nd and 3rd week of July rolls around, I get caught up in all the excitement and start believing I may actually get drawn for something darnit! Hate getting my hopes up only to have them crushed when reality hits! But, at least I've got the next few days to be hopeful! Then it's back to reality and predator calling to get my hunting fix. :P

There are no charges until the draw is done, and then it is a couple of days later, the website says you have until aug. 1 to change credit card info.

This is the one time of the year when the azgfd should authorize OT, three shifts 24 hours a day, heck they could even ask for volunteers, I would be more than willing to help with the process, I could check who is drawn and who is not drawn and enter it in the database, I am sure I would get all my tags just because I helped out.

What really gets me is they havent done the draw yet. Theyve had our applications and alot of folks hard earned money for quite a while now. Why does this process take so long? Why arent we informed of what day the actuall draw takes place? And for that matter how do they keep it so secret its completely amazing that it doesnt get leaked out every year! Isnt there something in the Freedom of Information Act that guarantees us this public knowledge?
