pinalhunter Report post Posted July 26, 2012 So most if the information I got on AZ. monsoon was wrong. We seem to be having a good summer, at least in most areas. So here's my question, Under good conditions and by that I mean no pressure are the deer likely to keep using the same water sources out of habit or will they just water anywhere they find it? I find that the more water and feed there is available the harder it is to locate any real good concentrations of deer because they are more wide spread. Any feed back welcome. JLW Report post Posted July 26, 2012 A couple seasons back I sat water and all the tanks were full and still had some action but pretty much hit and miss. They have to drink, especially if it is hot. A camera can help with finding out what frequency they are using your source or travel area. Fresh sign would be a welcome sight! James
kazpilot25 Report post Posted July 26, 2012 If there is water everywhere, they have no reason to travel to the tank they use when it's dry. Therefore, they'll stay put, drink from the puddles around them, and typically not move around too much.
