Viper Report post Posted July 31, 2012 This is a great quad, and great price. I have the 2005 500 in cat green. I can't believe it didn't sell for $4000. Kinda scarey, 'cause I was thinking of selling mine to get a Ranger or jeep.
sjvcon Report post Posted July 31, 2012 Yeah ... I am looking for a Jeep. Still considering Mark's ... nice looking Jeep. Just was hoping for something with a heater ... maybe I am being too much of a WUSS!!! I was really hoping to get $4K. The KBB is $4150, and this one has some nice extras. Tons of power. I am 265lbs +/- and it really moves even with my weight on it. I have had it at highway speeds and actually passed traffic running from Walker Peak (6A) in to Camp Verde (my buddy ran his quad out of gas about 15 miles from camp). I should also note that it holds quite a bit more gas than a POPO ... as he was on a Sportsman 500 and we both topped off before heading out. I still had plenty to spare when I hit Camp Verde and he was BONE DRY.
Viper Report post Posted July 31, 2012 Yup....6.5 gallons. I figure I get over 100 miles per tank, but haven't tested it out like your buddy . Most quads have a 3.5 - 5 gallon tank. This reason and ground clearence is why I bought Arctic Cat. Nice machines.
