rcdinaz Report post Posted July 24, 2012 Is it a mechanical problem, call Dillon as suggested if it is and they will spend all day helping you if required. If it is a feeding problem with standard large caliber rifle powders I always had the same issue? I used to have to constantly tap the cylinder to keep the powder flowing. Anything larger than 4831SC would hang from time to time. With pistol loads you can really fly since the powder is not an issue.
Big Browns Report post Posted July 24, 2012 Here's the problem. When I pull the handle all the way down, the uper slide on the powder measurer moves to far to the right. When this happens, the little white square plastic piece gets pushed out. If I dont pull the handle untill it stops then it works fine, but then station #3 doesn not seet the bullet completely. How do I adjust this slide so it does not move so far to the right? Thanks for the help, Adam

rcdinaz Report post Posted July 24, 2012 I will take a guess that the powder die/funnel is not adjusted correctly it sounds like it is too low. The only moving parts are really the funnel to push the powder bar back and the spring (metal rod) to return the mechanism to close. There are some good videos on youtube, search dillon 550 powder measure and you can see someone else set theirs up, may help you describe to the folks at Dillon what the trouble is before you call as well. Good luck!

Id be glad to help you out if you are still having problems with it. On some calibers there is a fine line on getting the powder die adjusted correctly.
