Big Browns Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I'm looking for suggestionsfor a holographic sight under $100. Can I buy anything good for that price? I will mostly be using the gun for plinking at the range. Usually under 100 yards. Thanks. Adam
AZHUNTER05 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I wouldn't waste my money on anything that cost $100 you will just be disappointed. However i did see that vortex has some lower end optics for just under $200 you might want to consider.

My buddy got a Pentax or something like that on sale at Sportsmans. 1 Shot and the lens came out of the thing!!!! Good thing it was at the range and not when he needed it. Yeah man Eotech is the way to go if the Creditcard will not allow the path of Trijicon to be taken.
AZHUNTER05 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I have an eotech on my AR and it has been a very good optic for the money. Also aim point makes a very quality product to. I have heard that the vortex holographic sights aren't the best but if the guy can only afford a low priced sight it is an option.
Big Browns Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Thanks for the info guys. I will save my money and buy something that will last. I will probably put a regular scope on the gun untill I can afford a holographic sight. Adam
willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I had a cheap red dot UTG on mine. Well I wanted to use it for predator hunting but still like the 1 power feature so I looked around and found a Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x20 illum with a Larue SPR E LT139 for 600.00 and have never looked back. The red dots are great but if you want to really reach out and touch a yote or 300 yard target you can with a 1-5 scope. I really shopped around for weeks and decided this was the best for plinkin to huntin. I will keep my eyes out for other deals.

I believe its the same as yours as far as magnification. A bit pricey though
willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Ya mine brand new is about 1200.00 and that's just the scope. I guess you could say I got it at a great price. LOL
BeardownAZ Report post Posted August 23, 2012 Aimpoint has a newer model called the Aimpoint PRO. Basically its a Aimpoint Comp M3 at a lower price with the smaller 2 MOA red dot, a little less battery time(which wouldnt matter for a civilian anyways). The smaller red dot would give you alittle more distance to shoot if needed. Burris makes 2 or 3 red dot scopes but not sure how good they are.
Big Browns Report post Posted August 24, 2012 Thanks for all the info. I ended up buying a Aimpoint Pro from Scottsdale Gun Club on sale. I really love it. It's a great sight, especially for under $400. Adam
