Hornhunter247 Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks everyone! I'm a member of a few other sites and this is by far one of the best IMO. I live in Hobbs, nm now but lived in Kingman/Flagstaff for 32 years. So I still tell everyone I'm from AZ lol
reganranch Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Hey HornHunter I have Kin in Hobbs. My brother is there working in the Oil Field, and my Aunt and Uncle own the yamaha dealership there in town.
Hornhunter247 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Tyler they actually get a lot of business from my family! Great shop and real good people there. I'm not sure if I have ever really met them. I actually work in PA in the oilfield, a lot of traveling but about half the year off so it works out great for me! Who's your brother over here?
reganranch Report post Posted July 23, 2012 His name is James Regan. He works with Combs Trucking that outfit that does the rig moves after his seven day hitch from CapStar Drilling. I think he said he's in the middle of switching rigs outside of Hobbs towards Andrews. You might of seen his truck around it was a lifted F350 Green and Black Diesel Truck. He was around town quite a bit before he sold it.
reganranch Report post Posted July 23, 2012 It was this truck hornhunter before he was T-boned by a Medium Duty service truck on that road that leads to the cattle baron. After that the truck didnt look quite this nice.
Hornhunter247 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I do know that truck, or did lol I love those older body style fords and that was one of the nicer ones around town.
reganranch Report post Posted July 23, 2012 Right on man! Do you work for Haliburton or one of those big outfits in the region, or are you visiting family there in Hobbs? I've seen some huge deer outside of town in the Salt Flats heading back towards Carlsbad.
Hornhunter247 Report post Posted July 23, 2012 I live in Hobbs now, moved here to be with my kids and most me and my ex's family all live here. It's alright but I miss AZ. Yeah there are some huge deer down here in the sand hills. Those salt flats hold some bombers still! Just hard to find them like anywhere. We have access to a big ranch down here that's produced some 190 to 200" bucks. But poaching is a real serious problem for these deer down here unfortunately. You make it down this way much?
