Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Late July is a nice time to be in southwest Colorado enjoying the mountain passes, 4wd roads and summer flowers. The best flowers that I found this year were in Porphyry Basin near Silverton. The view was not too bad either I have added a gallery of other images from Porphyry Basin for y'all to enjoy. http://www.plateaulightphotography.com/Landscapes/coloradolandscapes/Porphyry-Basin-July-2012/24299568_3tq6zd#!i=1978982269&k=LWk8spv

Snapshot Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Nice. I have taken the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge train a couple times during my trips in the summer. Some great back country scenery.
