dogman68 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 First trail of the season. The first day we hit the track late and it was real hot, so waited until daylight the next morning to try and catch them. Fortunately they were only a couple of miles away, laid up.
trophyhnter Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Wow! I would have thought it would be too hot for dog to track scent....or just too hot for them. Must be pretty cool to see dogs working the scent them treeing! Thanks for sharing! I assume the lion was not harvested?

lionhunter Report post Posted August 26, 2012 Well done Dogman; it is never easy this time of year! One of the hunts I was most proud of the dogs happened on the Kaibab in July (back when you could) and it was well over 100, and dry as a bone. Started off a kill and took about 5 hours of hammering around... Again well done, and have a good year.. Whitey
