swwildlife Report post Posted July 20, 2012 I just recently picked up my new McMillan Dynasty in .300 Win Mag. The feel and the fit are superb. The action is smooth, the trigger is like no other that I have shot. I was a little reluctant to get it in .300 win mag as I am slightly recoil sensitive, but Kelly McMillan talked me into a muzzle brake. (I have a muzzle brake on another .300 and I hate it. It is so deafening and I don’t think it does much for the recoil). I don’t know how they did it, but the recoil on the Dynasty is equivalent to a .243 and isn’t much louder than a rifle without the brake on it. My first 3 shot group was .5 inches and I shot a 5 shot group of .85 inches. And that was off an unstable shooting bench. I can’t wait to shoot it off a stable bench and rest. This is definitely my new favorite rifle. This rifle is worth every penny. If you are considering a true custom rifle, you owe it to yourself to talk to the guys at McMillan.
