Quite a few stayed in Arizona, the Coues tag went to someone in Tucson..........but it wernt me :D

They are going to list the winners by Monday, you can find the link on the AZGF website. If you look at the Az. regional conference on Bowsite it lists where the tags went (state). Hopefully someone from here got the Coues tag.

Here's some more info on the raffle

A total of 4,853 orders were placed and processed between early January and July 3rd, resulting in the purchase of 42,606 raffle tickets. The breakdown by species is listed below:

Species Tickets Sold Funds Raised

Antelope 4,868 48,680

Bear 1,582 7,910

Buffalo 3,044 30,440

Coues Deer 3,692 36,920

Desert Bighorn Sheep 5,864 146,600

Elk 7,517 150,340

Turkey 2,583 12,915

Javelina 1,358 6,790

Mule Deer 7,346 73,460

Total 42,606 $514,055

Every dollar raised above goes directly to wildlife and wildlife management for the particular species! All operating expenses were covered by our sponsors, and the sale of 4,752 raffle tickets for the Swarovski Optics package ($8000 value fully donated by Swarovski), which generated an additional $47,520.

Orders were processed from 49 states and Canada. Arizona led the way with 2,735 (56.4%), followed by California with 389 (8%), Texas 155 (3.2%), Colorado 142 (2.9%), Nevada 114 (2.3%), and Utah with 104 (2.1%).

Thank's Scott,

That is good information. It is interesting to know the breakdown & where the money goes. I did not know you were involved. But, should have known. Take care. Craig

Actually Craig I can't take credit for that. I wasn't involved in the raffle but a good friend of mine was. He gave me the info.

It obviously was a huge success in raising money and I can see this being an annual fund raiser.

Does anyone know if they sold more or less sheep tickets through the Super Raffle?

Judging by the number of tickets sold, elk and deer seem to be more popular than bighorn (maybe it was the units available to hunt sheep and/or the ticket cost)

The guy who won the elk tag posted on bowsite that he thinks he only purchased two tickets for elk. I'd say he beat the odds big-time.

Thanks for posting the numbers, Scott. Half a million $$$ directly for wildlife!!!!
