coues krazy Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Well I have to say archery headquarters. They have about anything you need. I took my bow in yesterday to have it set to specs, and they didnt charge me a thing. Makes you want to spend your money there when you do need something! dave Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Some folks do make their own bows. I know a couple stick bow guys that do. The shoot-through riser on my bow was made by a friend of mine. It's fun messing around with this stuff.
coues krazy Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I was just joking about that. I also make my own arrows and tune my own bow as much as I can, I just dont have a bow press yet.
dave Report post Posted July 11, 2006 I could tell coues krazy. It is a lot of fun doing this stuff. I hope all the folks that get involved in archery can learn how to make their own arrows, set up their own bow, etc... ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING!!!
galiuro mountain man Report post Posted July 17, 2006 Its easy to make your own bow. I have a couple, and I just need to get motivated to get my ash and bamboo one done. My favorite shop is my shop. I dont trust anyone else with my stuff. I even take my press with me when I go on long hunting trips and vacations when I will be doing comps. GMM
Dodger2 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 I know this is kinda off the topic, but besides PSE are there any other shops here in Tucson where I can get some arrow shafts. Is Robinson's still open? I live on the far west side so its a pretty good hike to get there for me, its almost easier and quicker to drive up to Phoenix. I went Sportsmans but all they have are the CX Maxima shafts ($120), a little to rich for my blood. Thanks.

Robinison's is still open, also there is Sahauro tackle & bait that is on Speedway just east of Craycroft, I was in there this mornin talking to the owner about his coues/muley hybred Heck of a nice guy. Dodger2 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 .25-06, Thanks. Isn't that the old Archery Center. I remember the owner telling me that he was closing down and that there was something about going into business with his neighbor (Saguaro bait/tackle). If they are still there then that is great since that is where I usually get my arrows from. Thanks Dodger/Matt
waterbuck97 Report post Posted July 20, 2006 Archery Headquarters in Chandler would definitely be my choice. Lots of selection, reasonable prices, and all the guys down there are extremely helpful and knowledgable. They also have the video machine which is a blast!!
