AverageJoe Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Plus, the warranty and customer service by Vortex is absolutely top-notch. Good thing, cause you'll need it Funny you would say that cause the original leica crf 1600 had more problems than any other rangefinder at the time. That is why there is a 1600-b now. I like leica products for sure and vortex products have their place in the hunting community now and they are very good products as well.
WallHanger Report post Posted September 11, 2013 I currently have a Nikon 800 yard model. Was thinking to upgrade and get something with newer tech. Can't justify cost for Leica/Swaro class device. Is the Vortex 1000 yarder a significant enough upgrade for me to pass the Nikon down to my boy? Anyone have one? Thoughts? Sjvcon did you end up getting a new range finder? Which one and how has it performed For you?
srfrost45 Report post Posted September 28, 2013 A wise man once told me, "buy nice or buy twice!" The other option is to trade your wife in for one that hunts lol. I know all too well about a wife that doesn't understand our hunting needs/purchases. My garage has a few hidden gems I hope I never have to explain:)
