AZLance Report post Posted July 16, 2012 Horrible storm tonight, thousands without power and flooding everywhere. They are telling people in Tucson to stay home and not go out. Our rain gauge says a little over 2" for this afternoon.
kwp Report post Posted July 16, 2012 We got 1.65" at our place on the northwest side of Tucson. Washes were all flowing good. Radar shows that a lot of Cochise County is getting hammered now.
hntnIwlgo Report post Posted July 16, 2012 I live on SW of Tucson, near San Xavier Mission. My rain gauge has 4 inches of rain in it!!!! All from today. I believe we had more than that though. The 60 mph wind pushed the hardest falling rain sideways so I don't think not as much rain got into the rain gauge as would have it the rain would have came straight down.
