abovethecoues Report post Posted July 11, 2012 Headed out tonight with the intention of hunting lion for the first time. Going to try the after hours with light and rabbit distress call. Anyone have any pointers?

123456 Report post Posted July 12, 2012 I would recommend you were a pair of depends just in case a lion comes into the call. Chances are, you will not see him or her until they are right in your face.

reganranch Report post Posted July 12, 2012 Just make sure you're in the right unit.... Good luck! +1 What unit are you planning on going hunting in? I would post up somewhere where they cant come in from behind you. Are you going to use a foxpro/automated caller?

abovethecoues Report post Posted July 12, 2012 Went to 40a. Got to our intended spot, but the water hole wa dry. Sat it out anyway and used fawn distress. The winds were shifty for our set and we bugged out before the big rain hit. Learned some lessons and will try again.
