Elkhunter1 Report post Posted July 7, 2012 While I was out Wednesday placing my cams I believe I found the big boy that I missed last Dec. He was with five other bucks, two of which look like they're going to be shooters as well. As I watched them my grin increased in size and so did my feeling this could be my year to get a good buck down! Sorry no pics, I left the long range camera at home.

CouesBuckhunter Report post Posted July 8, 2012 good luck. Let me know how the deer chasin goes, ill probally be chasing bears in august instead. I'd rather be in your shoes, looking for bears in Aug than bucks. It isn't going to be an easy hunt. Due to over half of the prickly pear flowers on each cactus not being pollinated by bees because of the extreme dry air during the flowering season there won't be many pears on each cactus. So the bears will plow through each cactus instead of spending time at each one. This means they will be moving fast. I've been training all summer long to be in tip top shape for chasing them through the high hills. If I see any coues 85 inches or better or any other bucks I hav my eyes on ill send an arrow their way.
