KaibabHunter Report post Posted June 28, 2012 I'm looking to purchase a small (1 quad) trailer i can take along for extra gear (and eventually a quad) needed for extended/remote trips that will require some off road travel and am worried about clearance. Are 14" rims with bigger tires the answer or would it be ok with the standard 12"?
el diablo Report post Posted June 28, 2012 I'd go with the 14" and flip the axle. You'll have plenty of clearance. I did it with my 6' x 4' trailer that I had made to pull behind my jeep and have 15" wheels. It sits level with my lifted jeep with 35" tires.
