We were planning on going camping on the rim this weekend but I guess not now. I can't tell if everywhere is closed or just certain parts. Can anyone understand the link?

I called the pleasant valley office and the lady said if you go south of young you should be ok but I would call to verify.

The link at the bottom has a map showing the areas.

ahhhh that helps!

And after I just went back over it and deciphered all the roads in my head... Lol!

Thanks!

The map helps. So the north Mazatzal Wilderness is open......but the burn area is most likely still closed (southern portion). Barnhart should be open then. I need to get my camera from the burn area...what's left of it. Gonna have to wait for rain.

I called Payson Ranger District today and they said all roads were closed north & south of the Control Rd. Does that mean you can't walk in? I didn't ask them this question. Does anyone know? :)

The way I read it there is no recreation allowed in the closed area until they get some rain.
