Viper Report post Posted June 16, 2012 I would like to load 24k topos onto my Garmin 400t gps. I am interested in the free topo maps at gpsfiledepot.com. Anyone tried them? They appear to be more detailed than the Garmin upgraded 24k maps for $100. Any issues with them? Brad
kwp Report post Posted June 16, 2012 I've been using them on my Garmin Etrex Vista for a few years now and think they're great. Don't have all the roads/trails shown on the USGS quad maps but have the large majority of the water features. Tough to beat free too!!
Elkaddict Report post Posted June 16, 2012 Been using them for a few years, great maps ! I have AZ and Colo. on my PC and load what I need into my Garmin 60C. I've been recommending gpsfiledepot for quite awhile. Can't go wrong, just follow their instructions.
Ron G. Report post Posted June 16, 2012 I used the gpsfiledepot maps for years before switching to huntinggpsmaps. The huntinggpsmaps are kinda pricey, but well worth it imho. Gpsfiledepot maps do the trick though for the price. Ron
