Coconino closed.

Portions of Tonto closed.

Look for more closures after the holiday weekend.

Better get your cameras out while you can.

I am about ready to sell all my cams and give up. I just got back from checking on them and another one was stolen. That's two in 6 weeks and it's not like they are near the road or trails.

The cheap some beaches even stole my $2 salt block.

I knew it was gone the second I started hiking down the trail and saw the quad tracks. It's a two mile to the remote spring I have had this cam on .

I would love to just catch one of these losers, just once. Not sure I could dig a deep enough hole in the rocks to bury his/her body completely though.

:D

That freaking sucks, I wonder if they will go back in there to hunt after they look at your pictures. I hope you catch the losers by some miracle and get to teach them the error of their ways.

I would love to go back there and see a tree stand hanging. My only decision would be to either take a dump on the seat or tie a rattle snake in the branches above it.

last year we had a stand hung, came back a few weeks later to hunt and another person put his stand on top 15" above our stand and move our hanger to match his stand height....that takes some @#%#$@.....

That does Suck!

The thief usually returns to the Scene of the crime. Might be worth putting another cam without flash in the area to see who comes back and points to where he "found" it. Leave a good dump on his quad seat.

Remember, treestands left over 48 hours are considered abandoned property........if you get my drift.

Put yer trailcams up a tree about 12 ft. then pull yer hooks so they cant reach them, and just angle them where you want pics.

Treestandman and myself have both had a couple of cameras stolen over the last couple of years. We really don't put them over water anymore. Water attracts too many people and that's when they get stolen. It's sad because I'm pretty sure that it's other hunters that steal them! Anymore we really only put them over trails and salt. Remember that no matter how secure your camera is that if someone wants it bad enough they will get it.

DesertBull,

Sorry to hear about your loss, I had two stolen last year, it stings, set one up for the animal pictures and then another somewhere else to get the pictures of a person or vehicle if possible, then you've got your bases covered. A buddy of mine thought about making a sign that says something like this is so in so's property, Film Delevoper please check I.D. and keep info when developing film, it may have been stolen or something to the effect. And take the first picture with this sign everytime.
