Well my 10 yr old son just finished his hunter safety course and i want to put him in for deer this year been looking for a decent rifle at a decent price and came upon the marlin x7. i have read a ton of reviews and it seems to be a great gun. I would have never even really thought about a marlin but a friend turned me on to them. Anyone out there have this gun and if you do any info would be greatly appriciated.

A buddy of mine bought one of these for his son a couple of years ago, we took it out and zeroed it and it shot sub moa. It was in .30-06

I was impressed with the rifle, especially for the price.

I have one. Bought it for my oldest son after my second got done with hunter ed and inherited the Savage 110. I am extremely happy with it. Great trigger, similar to the savage acu-trigger, great action and very accurate. I have it in .270 and load up 110 gr Barnes TTX for him. I would say one of the best in it's price range. Hope this helps.

My son has this gun in a 30.06 and it is a great gun. Has a good trigger and is very accurate, he has already kill a bull elk with it. I wouldn't hesitate buying another one.

I have 2 X guns from Marlin. One in 30-06 and the other is the .308 heavy barrel varmint. I like both guns.
