jeffro Report post Posted June 7, 2012 As the title says we are looking for a good home for our neutered, male, 7yr old purebred yellow lab. We are about to have our second child in 2 months, and we will not be able to give him the attention that he deserves. He is great with older kids, house trained and knows basic commands. He has lived with and been around other dogs, but has not been around cats. If your interested or know anyone, please let me know. Heat Report post Posted June 11, 2012 Just a few words about adopting an older dog. I adopted a 6 year old yellow lab male named Sam about 9 months ago. He is my new best friend. I was skeptical about adopting an older dog, but it has turned out wonderful for us and our other dog, who also has a new best friend. No chewing or potty training issues that come with pups. I am positive Sam now has a much better home than where he came from. If you can take him, give him a chance! Nick

singleshot Report post Posted June 13, 2012 We have two labs, they are very eager to please. We have indoor cats, and outside chickens, calves etc. they respond very well to a verbal scolding, When they act aggressively towards anything that we wish they would not. I would not worry about cats, point your finger at the dog, raise your voice, he more than likely will never pay any attention to them again.
