I am planing on driving out from PA by myself to hunt archery deer. I am going to hunt 36C and I think i am on top of the tags i need .................. I need my lic and the deer tag.

 

I have a hard time with AZfish and game sight so I like to ask you guys a question.

 

I can only get a bow tag for deer?

You cant hunt deer in AZ archery season and also get a gun tag?

Its one or the other right?

 

Here in PA we get a general hunting lic and a archery stamp if we like,

Having the archery stamp also allows use to hunt the bow season and gun season . . we are only allowed one buck per lic year. so once you fill your buck tag bow or gun your done unless you choose to hunt does. just 1 buck a year.

 

So with me getting my general AZ hunting lic and my ether deer bow tag this eliminates me from gun hunting right?

for Archery you can just get the Archery tag.

You have to apply for a gun tag. If you get drawn for a gun tag, you still CAN hunt the archery season BUT if you tag a deer in the Archery season, your rifle tag is now no good. In Arizona you are allowed one deer a year.

so even though i have my AZ lic and tag for achery deer i can still apply for a gun tag or grab a leftover if any.

i understand about the one buck ether gun or bow its the same here

computer just freezes up every time i try and open up a PDF on the AZ fish and game sight.

 

going to try to arrive a couple 3 days early to do some scouting.
