POB Report post Posted June 6, 2012 Well I guess sometime in the last week my bow walked out of the house, so after I put new locks on everything I need to buy a new bow. My old PSE was 15 yrs years old and I'm asking for suggestions for a replacement. Looking for something mid range (400 - 600). I need it for the Sept. bull hunt. Lets hear what you got or would get now, or what to stay away from.Thanks.

Jimmyc Report post Posted June 7, 2012 At the PSE proshop, they have Bow madness bows for 25% off the 2011 models. I almost bought one last night. The wife said no. So marked at $499, and take 25% off. That is a pretty good deal. Check it out.

Trust me on this one and go buy it. By the time Sept. rolls around she will have forgotten. What unit did you draw? TJ ps.....please don't show this to your wife. azstroops Report post Posted June 7, 2012 I bought the Bear Mauler package for about 500 or 600 and love it. I was in the same boat, so I went out and shot most of the bows in my price range. The last brand I thought i'd buy was going to be a Bear but it felt like the best fit for me and most comfortable. Good Luck
mattys281 Report post Posted June 8, 2012 you can still find 2010 & 2011 Diamond Black Ice bows on ebay for smoking prices. I'm currently shooting an 08 model & it's the best bow I've ever had. Smooth, pretty quick, lite weight & very accurate. Don't know why Diamond discontinued the model, but it was a mistake. Best bow they've made so far.
POB Report post Posted June 8, 2012 Thanks to Jimmyc, I went to the PSE proshop and bought a new 2012 Brute fully loaded and a new release for well under 500. Thanks for all the input. Now I just need to do my part and find the big bull that got away last time.
