257wby Report post Posted June 3, 2012 Anyone using a J34 pack? Been thinking about a new pack since mine won't carry a bow and the rifle pouch isn't very sturdy. What are your pros and cons of this pack? Is there one you like better? Thanks everyone. Mike
rcdinaz Report post Posted June 3, 2012 The way the EB scabbards work are the best bar none I have a couple. Super solid and it keeps the gun next to your torso so it is very stable, you can get pretty good at a one handed grab to draw the rifle out as well. It is also great to have the option to unzip the pack and open it up so it holds twice as much gear or for packing meat. All that being said I now use a Kuiu pack for overnight or extended stays because it is so much lighter and fits a little better. Still use the EB's for day trips or if I expect to be on the move needing access to my rifle.

Santana Outdoors Report post Posted June 4, 2012 The pack is one of the best all around packs you can get. My son uses it on all our hunts. Works as a large day pack plus it will carry more then most men can carry. I use it rifle hunting and would never hunt without a scabbord in my pack again. there awesome. Good luck and feel free to give me a call if you need to know more.
