azhuntnut Report post Posted June 29, 2006 Based on all of the other trucks I have seen in my rearview mirror, I know this truck has plenty of power. The 2005's just seem to get hot. I do have a programmer, but I have spoke to other owners that have tried removing the programmers and had the same outcome. I fixed the problem today though, I bought a 2006 that has had all of the issues addressed. GM has been buying back some of the trucks, but I didn't want to go through all of the trouble to get them to buy mine. I guess I will see how she tows in a couple weeks. Kevin, If you did add a programmer to your truck, you would never want to drive it stock again. It makes a huge difference in power. I have had no trouble smoking some of the sports cars running around the valley. Its quite a site when you can smoke 35inch tires for 30 feet. David Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
