Arizona Griz Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Can you haggle for the final price? If so how much off is a good deal(percent wise) A good rule of thumb would be about 25% below MSRP out the door at least for toyhaulers.

azhuntnut Report post Posted June 25, 2006 looks like that set up covers 3 property's.how does she do up sunset point? I actually have plenty of power, but I also have one of the 2005 hot running duramax's. GM didn't make a large enough radiator for these truck and it is causing them to run hotter than normal. On a cool day I can run sunset at 65 mph.
jamaro Report post Posted June 25, 2006 Look at this link regarding your overheating.. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82560 I added a Banks Exhaust and Intake to my Duramax. My EGT's are lower than stock.. My gas mileage is also better... Jason
azhuntnut Report post Posted June 26, 2006 Jamaro, I am on the site several times a day. I have tried different mods including the exhaust, intake, Predator, sealed nose area, and many more. I am not going to spend anymore money on mods that GM won't fix themselves. My EGT's were through the roof on Saturday morning towing to Flagstaff. She got pretty hot also. I am supposed to be picking up a free front pipe off of a lb7 that will delete my cat. I am hoping this will help with the EGT's. Or I could just trade it in on a ? Kevin Report post Posted June 28, 2006 Jason, I don't often play tug of war with my Powerstroke but if I did I'd want the comparison to be made for the same wheel base. Notice the Standard cab Duramax compared to club cab Cummins and Crew cab Powerstroke? Big difference in traction as evidenced by the smoking rear wheels of the Ford. Not trying to yank your chain, but I haven't had to add any aftermarket improvements to my truck to be completely satisfied with its performance and I sure don't have overheating problems! ultramag Report post Posted June 29, 2006 huntnut do you have a computer programer in your duramax?if you do pull it out the next time you tow and your overeheating problem WILL go away i know this from experience.i tow the same type setup 5thwheel and a trailer with 3 quads and up sunset point my temps barely move. those programer chips are junk they give you more power that your truck can not use, even powerstrokes have this problem as well as cummings.DONT DO A CHIP IF YOU WANT TO TOW.now if you drang race with your diesel install a chip, but dont tow .
