BASS Report post Posted May 26, 2012 We have a house in Tempe (University and Hardy) with about an acre and a half of empty field behind it, and brick wall/industrial park businesses on three sides. Some how there is a coyote living back there feasting on cats and chickens. We are trying to rent the house out, but having this 'yote back there is a problem. Since its pretty much fenced in with nine foot brick walls on three sides, the only way in or out is right past the house. Before this becomes an issue id like to get someone out there to relocate this dog if possible. He not hurting anything in my mind as hes chomping down all the stray cats that plauged the property, but my mom (owner of the house) is more concerned about it getting cornered back there and hurting someone. Would GFD help in this situation, or would Maricopa County Animal Control be more appropriate?
tjhunt2 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 Bass, that's a good question. A few phone calls should clear it up. If that doesn't pound out a good shot with a 22 would end the problem. Let us know how it works out. TJ
123456 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 Lots of time in these cases, Game and fish will tell you to hire a private party to get rid of the coyote. Ususally they do not get involved unless the coyote is a threat to civillians. they specifically licenes people in this state to go and trap nuissance coyotes. Look up Arizona wildlife control. He is good and can help you.
