John O Report post Posted May 21, 2012 Keep hearing good things about Zen Ray optics. Did a little research, and am a little skeptical because they are made in China. AverageJoe Report post Posted May 21, 2012 I use the 10x43 as my pack around binos. They sit in the truck a lot as my quick go to binos. They are pretty good glass for the money. I have had mine for 4 years now and they still work fine. The glass is as clear as my vortex kaibabs. The eyecups leave something to be desired. Overall i would say get them if you are interested. You wont be dissapointed. I would rate them 8 out of 10. 10 out of 10 being leica ultravids, 7 out of 10 being nikon monarchs,etc. slightly brighter than nikons but not as durable. The company has been good to me as well. Quick response with any questions i have ever had. Although i havent talked with them in a few years. If you want to look through them, they are pretty beat up but the glass is still good. Let me know and i can meet you somewhere to look through them.
